Welcome to the Feed Technology Group at KSU

Welcome!   logo>Harvest Upate

Our Feed Technology program at Kansas State University has partnered with various organizations within the feed and grain industry to bring you the latest information on our educational programs, research, as well as the latest in harvest tracking capabilities. Since the 1950s, K-State has made significant and lasting contributions in the field of feed manufacturing.

The feed science program has served the feed industry for over 50 years by providing training and skills for future employees and developing research in feed additives and testing practices.

Research and product development activities have produced specialized foods for nearly every pet and exotic companion animal.  Today the Feed Technology Group continues to expand and innovate, with plans underway to develop a new state of the art feed mill, the O.H. Kruse Feed Mill and Biorefinery Teaching and Research Center.

Building for the Future   logo>New Feed Mill

Our proposed feed mill and biorefinery will be a unique training and research tool for feed science, grain operations, animal nutrition and renewable fuels. It is a strategic component of K-State's ability to strongly participate in the opportunities for renewable bioenergy research and education. It will also serve the needs of students as a hands-on learning environment and provide industry professionals with updated technologies and the latest advances in the field.
